NEW YORK/LONDON/HONG KONG, August 4, 2021—Montieth Illingworth, CEO and Global Managing Partner at Montieth & Company (M&Co) has been appointed by Of Home, Family and Future (OHFF) to its Board of Directors. OHFF, based in New York City, provides survivors of domestic violence and college-bound foster youth with the support and resources they need to overcome the challenges they face and build stable lives.
“Of Home Family and Future does important work that helps so many people, and I’m honored to join its Board. I’m very much looking forward to helping advance the organization’s mission,” said Montieth Illingworth.
Through its programs, OHFF provides comprehensive and customized support services to people who possess the desire and drive to succeed but lack the opportunity and resources. The Transformation Squared Program helps domestic violence survivors re-enter the workforce or upgrade their employment to earn a livable wage, and care for themselves and their children without returning to an abuser. The Educational Mentoring Program provides college-bound youth in foster care with mentorship and stipends to help cover the college-related expenses that are typically uncovered or inadequately covered by financial aid or scholarships, for up to five years of college. In cooperation with partner agencies (Sanctuary for Families, Good Shepherd Services, SCO Family of Services, and JCCA), both programs provide vital support to enable these students and mothers to succeed beyond their circumstances and create the lives their families and they deserve.
“We are thrilled to have Montieth Illingworth join OHFF’s Board of Directors. Montieth and M&Co have actively supported our work over the past decade, by providing mentorship, internships, and employment opportunities to the participants in our Transformation Squared Program, which is run in partnership with Sanctuary for Families. Montieth’s passion for our work and mission, as well as his many professional skills make him a tremendous asset to our team,” said Tanisha Browne, Executive Director at OHFF.
This work is closely aligned with Mr. Illingworth’s and the company’s values of helping achieve a more just society. To that end, in 2020, M&Co launched a Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiative to offer complimentary news media training to women and minority executives in 2020 and help amplify diverse voices in the media. The company has also supported The Ali Forney Center, The New York Center for Children, Ronald McDonald House New York, Hour Children, The Southern Poverty Law Center, Food Bank NYC, and Feeding America, amongst other charities.
