An online mortgage lender sought out a real estate public affairs strategy in a State that did not allow them to originate loans without the umbrella of a traditional banking institution.


It wanted to garner support for licensing online mortgage lenders in the state legislature. Montieth & Company created a program that included building relationships with elected officials and stakeholder engagement that provided free financial education and counseling to target communities. This was complemented with a media relations program that raised awareness about the benefits of online lending.
