Madoff Feeder Fund Seeks Compliance and Regulatory Communications

The Madoff Fraud ensnared dozens of “feeder funds” who were themselves defrauded, along with their LPs. Law enforcement moved quickly against many of these funds as did investors bringing civil claims. Our client was one of the feeder funds with the most exposure to Madoff’s fraudulent scheme.

The Madoff news cycle moved fast and quickly evolved as new facts emerged. We led the “War Room” team and created a media strategy to keep our client out of the coverage until we had a high confidence level in the facts. We also worked with the investor relations team to address LP questions.

As more facts emerged, our client successfully addressed core concerns from various stakeholders. The Madoff matter unfolded over many years, and we continued to provide communications and IR counsel through to the full recovery of all losses for investors.
