Maria Paula Mejia

Maria is a Senior Associate at Montieth & Company working in marketing communications and PR, crisis management and litigation communications across sectors.

Before joining Montieth & Company, Maria was a Teacher Fellow for Crisis Management at NYU’s Executive MBA program. Prior to that, she worked at Edelman with high profile Fortune 500 companies. Maria has a master’s degree in PR and corporate communications from NYU. Her capstone thesis focused on the use of AI in crisis communications, exploring its effectiveness and ethical implications in PR. Additionally, she is a trained lawyer with a law degree and a minor in social psychology from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia.

Maria is fluent in Spanish and French and brings a diverse skillset and international perspective to her work. In her free time she likes to meditate, bike, travel, cook, and read.
