Situation

Archaea Energy needed branding and website development services in preparation for their acquisition announcement by Rice Acquisition Corp., a SPAC focused on energy transition. Its existing website did not reflect Archaea’s capabilities and the company needed a new look, graphics, content architecture, and help with its messaging and positioning. The new website had to be designed and launched within 3 weeks.

Solution

The M&Co team started working with Archaea by building a new content architecture for the website following our thorough review of marketing collaterals, investor materials and existing website content. Our recommendations were informed by in-depth interviews as well as a thorough competitor analysis of five top competitors in the clean energy industry.

Because of the short timeframe for creating, designing, developing and launching the new website, our team built a website architecture and launch plan in two phases: a priority phase that would conclude with the launch of key pages within three weeks, and a secondary phase that included additional pages, enhanced graphic design, and video production.

Results

Archaea Energy was able to launch a new website with new brand colors, typography, photographs, messaging, positioning, content, and graphics. Over the next few months following the initial launch phase, our team completed the design and launch of the entire website. By that time, Archaea Energy successfully completed its acquisition and became the largest renewable natural gas platform in the world.

Due to the successful launch of the new brand and website, Archaea Energy hired M&Co to redesign the brand and website for its air pollution control company – Conifer Systems. In December 2022, less than two years after we started working with Archaea Energy, the company was acquired for over $4 billion.
