And so they should. By working as hard and as smart as we do to achieve mastery over the core disciplines we think our results have a greater impact for our clients. In that sense, we certainly “punch above our weight.”
What have been some important results you achieved for clients?
Protecting corporate reputation, helping clients win new business, prevailing in litigation, creating new understanding of and support for a series of tough decisions management has to make, integrating acquisitions, launching new products, the list goes on. It’s deeply gratifying to see all the ways in which our clients have benefited.
Are there some sectors you work more in than others?
This being New York we do a lot of work with financial services companies. But we also have clients in numerous other sectors such as health, defense, high technology, heavy industry, and professional services. Historically, our clients have come from more than a dozen sectors.
Anything about your corporate culture that makes you stand out?
We’re entrepreneurial and ambitious but we like to direct that energy to being creative and ambitious for our clients. We try and gear the culture towards client benefit. So we don’t have a lot of titles. We want people to “climb” in their careers based on results for the client not title for themselves. Win for the client and everything else for you, all rewards, fall into place.
